Dive into a New Wave of Health and Wellness with Hang 10 Drips

(Hampton Roads, Va., Aug. 8, 2022) – Hampton Roads residents now have an immersive alternative to address chronic pain, gastrointestinal issues, anxiety and depression, and the long-term effects of COVID-19. Hang 10 Drips Infusions + Wellness Solutions is now open by appointment at 933 First Colonial Road in Virginia Beach. Launched to help people stay healthy and hydrated, the company offers over a dozen medically-managed IV infusions—and a sunny approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle.

“Infusion therapy has many benefits, especially the ability to bypass the gut, allowing the vitamins and nutrients we use in our drips to be absorbed in the bloodstream quickly and efficiently,” said Dr. Lisa Barr, medical director of Hang 10 Drips. “It is a great solution, whether you need a customized protocol for an existing condition or immediate relief from a headache or hangover.”

While the website and marketing materials sport a beachy vibe, Hang 10 Drips is serious about the management and protocols of their signature drip offerings. A graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, Barr is board certified with advanced training in pain management, functional medicine, and anti-aging. She develops the drip formulas, which are administered by the company’s registered nurses.

“Our goal is to help people feel better—period,” Barr said. “For some it is a quick fix. For others, we look further into their condition to understand the underlying medical issues and get them on a maintenance program for long-term benefits.”

One signature drip, The Longboard, is gaining momentum among patients who are recovering from “Long COVID,” or Long Haulers Syndrome. Barr’s research in this area resulted in her development of a formula to alleviate the coronavirus’s extensive list of symptoms. Her solution: target ingredients to improve the function of the mitochondria. This counters fatigue and reduces brain fog by producing energy in all cells.

“Our immune system requires a lot of our daily energy production, and mitochondrial function is the key to staying healthy and recovering from infections,” Barr said. “Our Longboard drip helps to restore and improve the function of mitochondria, while reducing inflammation and rebalancing the immune system.”

With 13 vitamins and minerals, The Longboard can alleviate fatigue, shortness of breath, cognitive dysfunction, neurological issues, persistent headache, rashes, gut-related disturbances and lasting taste and smell changes. It has been extremely effective for clients according to Barr. Since Hang 10 Drips’ soft opening earlier this year, they administered over 100 of the infusions.

In addition, clients can choose from drips designed to boost energy, improve mental clarity, promote a healthy gut, help detoxify from surgery and toxin exposure, optimize sports performance and recovery, and support weight loss, to name a few. Hang 10 Drips also offers injectable enhancements and wellness and functional medicine testing (including micronutrient, and food sensitivity testing), to provide detailed insight into bodily nutritional needs and identify hidden health challenges.

“We love helping our patients achieve their health and wellness goals. From a career standpoint, it is both gratifying and rewarding,” said their registered nurse. “With Dr. Barr’s research and our team’s 40-plus years of medical expertise, I cannot wait to see what we do next. This is just the beginning.”

The team is also developing relationships with health-minded partners, including The Coastal Edge ECSC in Virginia Beach. In addition to having a presence on the sand at the event, the Hang 10 team will make their IV infusions available to the competitors, visitors and spectators, Aug. 25-28.
